Mari! well, we got here finally on friday at midnight after a 9 hour delay in Jakarta airport due to severe floods which you may have seen on the news - we got to know all the shops and practiced saying plane ? plane ?!. Arriving in the dark meant that we didn't get a proper look around until morning. We have a beautiful view of the mountain and lime trees and cocunuts right outside. This place is so green! It's wet season so it's warm and dry in the morning and then the heavens open in the afternoon and it pours. The school is great - I even got up and ran round the track (5 times!) this morning at 6am. The people here are so friendly too - we're figuring out the difference between british and american culture (i thought we spoke the same language!). We've tried to explain the humour in 'the office' but we're laughing on our own! We're off down town to taste the local cuisine so over and out for now. the picure is of us in the jungle - well nearly. there is jungle all around us even though this bit has a path!

I thought you were just in the woods in Brereton until I saw the palm-trees. Then I decided you were just in the woods in Brereton and had stolen and attached some bits of palm trees to make it look like you'd gone to Indonesia...
