Well after a 24 hour delay in Philadelphia and being redirected via Dallas we finally arrived in Indianapolis last Saturday about 7pm; it was an experience we hope never to live through again. The boys did great, they coped so well with the delays and the jet lag. Thanks for all your prayers for us and them, they made a big difference.
So we're here for our training to prepare us for working overseas, specifically with the local Indonesians and also the international community at the school. There's lots of emphasis on understanding culture and how we will cope or adjust to living in Indonesia, which is really good.
First we have to get to know our new American culture; here's some things we've seen so far.
First we have our home for 3 weeks, then some well known ice cream and last but never least the 'God Bless America' fridge magnet.
We're getting along fine with America, we've noticed the language taking hold of us and soon we'll have a strange British American accent.
If you want to email us while we're here then feel free to get in touch we'd love to hear from you.
Paul & Emily

Can you bring me back some of that ice-cream? Currently I am eating quite a lot, with a sore throat as an excuse.
But don't bring me any of those americanisms back with you, thank you!
Good luck with the flights home. And then that tiny little flight-with-two-small-boys to Indonesia... Yes, very good luck...
